It's time for you
Meet Alisha
I am a mother to two teenage boys, and I have been married for 19 years. I have 18 years of mental health expertise across diverse contexts, with specialized training in couples therapy. Personally, I understand the joys and hardships life can bring. There are so many growing pains that we all experience as we navigate this life for our first time. I come from a very large family, which brings all sorts of fun relational patterns that can be both empowering, but also sometimes dysfunctional. I am therapist, but first a human. I have had to figure things out just like everyone else. As a therapist, I am grateful for the opportunities to help others also sort through life difficulties and learn new ways of managing stress, coping with mental health struggles, and improving relationships with others.
My Philosophy
I take a down to earth approach to counseling and offer an engaging and interactive experience. I value my relationships with my clients, and I love my job. I offer a warm, authentic and sometimes humorous environment. I want my clients to feel like they can be their true self and share openly. That being said, I come with a lot of experience. I have been working in the behavioral health field for going on 18 years in a variety of capacities. I have been trained in numerous evidence-based techniques and therapies to help my clients reach their mental health goals.
